Do we really know what effective schools are like, or how to create lasting, substantial, meaningful change in education? This film begins with an intimate look at a 80-year-old independent school, then visits eight public schools around the country (pre-school through high school) which have introduced bold and innovative programs. It highlights the methods and positive results of alternative approaches in which students, teachers, parents and administrators join in creating a vibrant and supportive educational environment.
